Our team is led by Adam and Bree Dirkmaat—an experienced, credentialed duo dedicated to delivering reliable, objective, and punctual appraisals for residential and mixed-use properties across Southeast Texas.

Adam Dirkmaat – General Certified Appraiser

Adam began his appraisal career in 2004, quickly gaining experience in both complex residential and commercial property appraisals. Within a year of entering the field, he expanded into appraising subdivision developments, strip centers, warehouses, offices, apartments, vacant commercial land, and storage facilities—all while continuing to work with luxury and complex residential homes. In 2013, Adam earned his General Certified Appraiser designation from the State of Texas.

Adam’s background also includes decades of service as a firefighter and EMT with the Houston Fire Department, where he currently serves as a Senior Captain. Fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, Adam brings leadership, technical expertise, and clear communication to every appraisal assignment.

Bree Dirkmaat – Certified Residential Appraiser

Bree joined Dirkmaat, Inc. in 2019 and has since established herself as a highly capable and detail-oriented residential appraiser. Drawing on her background in accounting and project management, she brings precision and organization to the appraisal process. Bree specializes in complex residential properties, mixed-use parcels, large acreage and farmland, and new construction appraisals based on plans. In 2024, she earned her Certified Residential Appraiser designation.

With fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Bree brings strong cross-cultural communication skills to her work with property owners, developers, and lenders.
